Park Timbers Garden Club

The Park Timbers Garden Club is an association of neighborhood women dedicated to encouraging interest in home gardening and promoting better horticultural practices, civic beauty, and conservation of natural resources. The club maintains the flower bib at the entrance garden, conducts a Christmas door decorating contest, and awards "Garden of the Month" to noteworthy landscapes. It occasionally participates in planting projects and field trips, and in May and December treats itself to elegant luncheons at local restaurants. While the focus of the club is Park Timbers, membership to interested nonresidents is welcome.

Please join us on the second Wednesday of each month, September through May, for an informative and social gathering. What a great way to meet the neighbors! Meetings are generally held in the homes of garden club members, published at the first meeting in September. Feel free to contact Donna Mercer for meeting and membership information.

The Park Timbers Garden Club recently planted an oak tree, along with some azaleas and a native fringe tree, at the Park Timbers Court cul de sac as a memorial to those members who have lost loved ones. A plaque was placed at the base of the oak tree with the inscription “IN MEMORY OF THOSE WE HAVE LOVED AND LOST."
